Exploration #5 with Janisse Ray’s Journey in Place
Love is a Choice
I choose you.
In the easy companionship of first light, I choose you.
In the soft fall of the evening and the rise of the katydid song, I choose you.
In the terrifying winds that toss trees around like grass in a field, I choose you.
In the long, cold grayness of winter
In the summer air humid enough to swim in,
I choose you.
While there are many beautiful landscapes on this earth, each filled with magic and mystery.
Young, tall mountains,
Exotic tropical oceans,
Dark, mysterious forests of giant trees,
Wide open deserts filled with skies of possibility,
Still, I choose you.
I choose your deep blue ridges softened by age,
Your gentle protective shoulders,
Your young open forests
Your quiet secret coves,
I choose you.
Lovely love letter!
Wonderful, Tricia!
